It’s a term used to describe a situation where there is not enough money to fund all trades at once, leading to long queues and high fees for those who do not have enough of an advantage over other traders to participate directly with their capital.

The main cause of liquidity problems in cryptocurrency markets can be attributed to two main factors: speculative demand and illiquidity. Speculative demand refers to how many people want something at any given time; if too many people want something, it becomes difficult for everyone else who wants it.
