Assistant Controller Duties:
- Assist Controller with meeting all deadlines and ensuring all tasks are completed on time
- Be a liaison between the Controller and the Director of Operations
- Ensure assets are kept updated within the accounting system
- Process accounting transactions within specified timeframes
- Monitor incoming invoices and payments
- Track and report on inventory
- Process accounting entries and reports
- Prepare documents for internal and external audits
- Perform accounting functions
Assistant Controller Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial accounting records, and reconcile accounts
- Prepare accounting reports for management
- Prepare journal entries for month-end close
- Assist with budget preparation
- Maintain payroll records
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for upper management
