Its current membership stands at over 31,000 members drawn from the various member organizations including:
- TSC Secretariat;
- TSC teachers in Primary, Secondary schools & Tertiary institutions;
- Lecturers in Public and Private Universities;
- University Staff both public and Private
- Gusii Mwalimu Sacco Society Staff
- Employees of National & County Governments, Ministries and state Departments.

Gusii Mwalimu Sacco Admission into Membership
An applicant shall be admitted to membership on application upon payment of an entrance fee of Kshs.1000/=
Also take note:
- Rejoining fee is Kshs.1,000/=
- Minimum deposits contribution is Kshs.1,000/=
- Eligibility for a loan is after 6 months of membership with regular contributions.
- BBF (Burial Benevolent Fund) contribution of Kshs.200/= for members within the common bond
- Member’s share capital is Kshs.20,000/=
