AU Chairperson meets Morocco Ambassador

On January 12, 2026, the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, met with H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the AU. The discussion focused on the ongoing session of the Permanent Representatives’ Committee (PRC) and preparations for the upcoming AU Assembly of Heads of State and Government. The meeting emphasized the importance of continued cooperation among AU members, particularly regarding the upcoming summit.

Strengthening Diplomatic Ties with Morocco

During the meeting, both leaders discussed the objectives of the current PRC session. Ambassador Arrouchi shared Morocco’s perspective on the upcoming AU Assembly, highlighting the significance of collaboration to address Africa’s critical issues. The diplomatic dialogue aimed to strengthen ties and ensure the success of future AU endeavors.
