Apply for Visa From Kenyan Embassy in Doha Qatar

  1. ALL VISA APPLICATIONS CAN ONLY BE DONE ON  https://www.ecitizen.go.ke/  
  2. For application follow the steps below
    1. Click register on  https://www.ecitizen.go.ke/  
    2. Select Register as a Visitor.
    3. Once Logged in, Select Department of Immigration services.
    4. Select submit Application.
    5. Select Kenyan Visa.
    6. Select the type of Visa and read the Instructions Carefully.
    7. Fill in the application form.
    8. Pay Using visa card, Mastercard and other debit cards.
    9. Await approval via email, then download and print the eVisa from your eCitizen account.
    10. Present your printed eVisa to the immigration officer at the port of entry
  3. Disclaimer
    1. Visa processing fee is non refundable.
    2. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
    3. The possession of an eVisa is not the final Authority to enter The Republic of Kenya.
    4. Engaging in any form of business or employment without a requisite permit or pass is an offence.
    5. A visa is required prior to entry into The Republic of Kenya.
    6. The e-Visa printout must be presented at the port of entry.
    7. It should take at least 2 working days to get your eVisa.
    8. Each adult visitor to the Republic of Kenya is required to submit e-visa applications in their personal ecitizen account. Parents can apply for their children in the parents account.

The Following Countries have Concluded Visa Abolition Agreement With Kenya

  1. Eritrea
  2. Ethiopia
  3. San Marino

Nationals of the following countries require a visa. visa

TYPES OF VISAS

a) Single entry Visa US $50.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal
b) Multiple entry Visa US $100.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal
c) Transit Visa US $20.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal
d) East Africa Visa $100.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal – allow travel between Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda with the same multiple entry visa.The holder of the East Africa Tourist Visa shall enter the region from the country that issued the visa and move within the two other countries without applying for another visa or paying another visa fee.

Diplomatic, Official, Service and Courtesy visas will continue to be issued Gratis.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Passport ( Not photocopy ) which is valid for at least six(6) months – To be submitted along with the application form.
  2. Completed (Filled in) Application form duly signed.
  3. Copy of flight Itinerary / Letter from travel agent on company letterhead confirming booking.
  4. Two Passport size photos, 2 inches by 2 inches (NB: Computer generated pictures are not acceptable)
  5. Visa Fees: Payable to Embassy of The Republic of Kenya)
  6. US $50.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal For Single Entry (Tourist/Visitor/Business),
  7. US $100.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal For Multiple Entries (Tourist/Visitor/Business),
  8. US $100.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal for East Africa Visa,
  9. US $20.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal For Single Transit

PLEASE NOTE

  1. A visa is required prior to entry into Kenya.
  2. No visa is required for persons on direct Transit and will not leave the airport,
  3. East African visas are valid for three (3) months from the issuance date
  4. Those travelling to Kenya with their pets must obtain pet permits
  5. Holders of tourist / business visa cannot engage in any form of employment whether paid or unpaid.
  6. Applicants who intend to conduct temporary business, trade or profession must apply for a special pass from the Director of Immigration Services in Nairobi
  7. Applicants seeking to undertake Internship/placement or academic research should liaise with their host organizations, institutions or companies to make applications for the necessary pass to the Director of Immigration Services in Nairobi prior to their engagements

CATEGORY 3 REFERRED VISA

Nationals (Passport Holders) of the following countries shall have their visa applications REFERRED to the Director of Immigration Services,Nairobi for approval. The processing time varies from case to case. No expedited services for Referred Visa applications.

Afghanistan, Jordan, Senegal, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Somalia, Armenia, Mali Syria, Cameroon, North Korea, Palestine, Iraq, Tadjikistan

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Valid Passport to be submitted along with the application
  2. Completed (Filled in) Application form duly signed.
  3. Two Passport size photos (NB: Computer generated pictures are not acceptable)
  4. A letter of Visa request from applicant.
  5. An Invitation letter from the host ( Person in Kenya inviting the applicant).
  6. A copy of Kenyan ID or Kenyan Passport of the host ( Person in Kenya inviting the applicant).
  7. Two separate Cashiers Check or Money Order( Payable To Embassy of The Republic of Kenya) in the amounts of:
  8. US$50.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal for Visa application fee,
  9. US$10.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal (non-refundable) For Visa processing fee for Single Entry into Kenya,

PLEASE NOTE

  1. A visa is required prior to entry into Kenya.
  2. Applications for Reffered visa are received at the Embassy and forwarded to Department of Immigration Headquarters in Nairobi for processing.
  3. The processing period varies from case to case. (Determined after receipt of application and supportive documentation for reason for travel)
  4. Telephone queries must be made by the applicant only. Third party queries will not be reviewed.

STEPS OF APPLICATION

  1. Register on www.ecitizen.go.ke
  2. Go to immigration.ecitizen.go.ke and or Department of immigration services and click on the passport application form.
  3. Read the instructions carefully then fill the application form.
  4. Select the mode of payment and pay for the passport fees.
  5. Download and print the application form and three application receipts.
  6. Submit the application form in person to the Embassy.sumu.)

DURING THE SUBMISSION YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING

  1. An eCitizen pre-filled passport application form and three receipts.
  2. Original birth certificate and photocopy.
  3. Original National ID Card & copy.
  4. Three Current passport size photos.
  5. Recommender’s ID Card copy.
  6. Consent letter for minors.
  7. Old passport for replacement.
  8. Parents National ID cards and copy.

Replacement of Old/Mutilated Passport at the Kenyan Embassy in Doha Qatar

STEPS OF APPLICATION

  1. Register on www.ecitizen.go.ke
  2. Go to immigration.ecitizen.go.ke and or Department of immigration services and click on the passport application form.
  3. Read the instructions carefully then fill the application form.
  4. Select the mode of payment and pay for the passport fees.
  5. Download and print the application form and three application receipts.
  6. Submit the application form in person to the Immigration offices.( Nyayo house, Mombasa & Kisumu.)

  8. Two recent passport size photographs on white background (2 by 2 inches). Recommender to sign on the back of 1 photo. NB: Computer Generated pictures are not acceptable

Apply for Emergency Certificates at the Kenyan Embassy in Doha Qatar

Emergency Certificates are issued only in cases of genuine emergency.

Requirements:

  1. Complete Form PP1 ( Fill Two copies)
  2. Submit the above form with the following:
  3. Two current passport photographs 1″ by 1.5″ (NB: Computer generated pictures are not acceptable)
  4. Expired passport.
  5. Two copies of Birth Certificate or National ID card.
  6. Letter of request explaining the emergency & a copy
  7. Home and work telephone numbers
  8. Two copies of Proof of emergency
  9. There is no fee for this service.

NB: Any incomplete application will be returned.

To avoid delays in processing your application please ensure that you have read all the requirements above. Ignore the $75.00 or local equivalent in Qatari Riyal listed

Registration of Birth from the Kenyan Embassy in Doha Qatar

An application can only be made by persons who qualify for citizenship by descent. Chapter VI Section 90 of the constitution of Kenya states that:

“A person born outside Kenya after 11th December 1963 shall become a citizen of Kenya at the date of his / her birth if at that date his / her father is a citizen of Kenya”

We require the following documents to process the birth certificate of Kenyan citizens born abroad.

  1. Two (2) application forms (BDA) duly filled
  2. Copy of the fathers passport
  3. Copy of mothers passport
  4. Notification of Birth issued by the civil authorities or the hospital (Accompanied by two copies translated into English)
  5. Two (2) copies of marriage certificate translated into English or international marriage certificate (if legally married)
  6. Processing fee US$15.00 or equivalent in Qatari riyal
