Ryan Reynolds, the Canadian actor, has made substantial profits from his investments in addition to his acting career.
He is expected to earn over $300m from the sale of a budget telecoms firm called Mint Mobile, in which he owns a 25% stake.
The purchase is part of a $1.35bn deal with T-Mobile, the second-largest mobile phone carrier in the US. Reynolds has also sold a gin brand he co-owned for $610m and co-owns the Welsh football team Wrexham AFC.
He is one of the highest-paid actors worldwide, making over $20m per film. Reynolds is known for his advertising campaigns through his firm Maximum Effort, which also created ads for Peloton.
Despite his wealth, he continues to act and is due to appear in Deadpool 3 alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Many celebrities, such as Ashton Kutcher, Snoop Dogg, and Jared Leto, have also invested in non-acting ventures.
