Five Qatar-based companies in top-50 of ‘Best Workplaces for Millennials in Middle East’

Five Qatar-based companies in top-50 of ‘Best Workplaces for Millennials in Middle East’. Qatar has received many accolades from research agencies around the world about its status as a workforce-friendly nation. It added yet another feather in its cap recently when international research, training, and consultancy firm ‘Great Place to Work’ chose five Qatar-based companies in its list of best places to work for millennials in the Middle East.

While Qatar-based home furnishing company The One took the top spot in the list of best 50 companies, Shift WLL came in sixth place. Universal Media Qatar finished in the 23rd spot while AlBahia Beauty Salon came in 42nd. Waka Kitchen was 44th on the list. The list recognised the top workplaces for millennials in several sectors across the GCC countries.

Great Place to Work Middle East’s Lamees ElZeghaty, Manager of Regional Lists and Certifications for Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE & KSA, lauded the firms and their contribution towards the local community and strengthening Qatar’s economy.

“We’re excited to announce the winners of our highly sought-after Best Workplaces for Millennials list, showcasing the organisations that have excelled in creating a thriving work environment for the millennial workforce,” she said.

Great Place to Work conducted anonymous surveys targeting millennials to comprehend firms’ friendly approach towards employees.

“Through an extensive evaluation process, employees from companies shared their experiences anonymously, providing valuable insights into what truly makes a workplace millennial-friendly,” added ElZeghaty.

Millennials are a vital force in any company’s work environment, bringing up fresh viewpoints and innovative ideas to the mix.

Jules Youssef, Managing Director of Great Place to Work Middle East’s Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain division, said: “We congratulate all winners. This award recognises the exceptional efforts made by these organisations to cultivate a workplace environment that caters to the unique needs and aspirations of the millennial workforce. By embracing the values that resonate with millennials, you’ve created a workplace where they can attract and retain top talent.”

Qatar’s International Media Office highlighted that the country’s prosperous economy is in a better position for the upcoming years with resilient performances by firms in numerous important industries.
