Mohit becomes new Bamburi CEO

Mohit Kapoor has been appointed as the new CEO of Bamburi Cement, a Nairobi Securities Exchange-listed firm, effective April 1, 2023.

This follows the exit of Seddiq Hassani, who had been at the helm for five years. Kapoor’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval, and he brings over 20 years of corporate leadership experience, having held several high-level management positions within the Holcim Group, Bamburi’s parent company.

Additionally, two non-executive directors have been replaced, with John Stull retiring and being replaced by Rajesh Surana, and Guillaume Dubreuil resigning and being replaced by Sonal Shrivastava.

The Bamburi board congratulated Kapoor on his appointment and thanked Hassani for his service.
