Peter Thomas was born on October 1, 1960, in Jamaica.
Career
Thomas spent the early part of his career working in music PR and hip hop artist management. He worked to launch the careers of entertainers such as Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog, and brought them to fame in the UK. He worked as a concert promoter throughout the 90s and was one of the last people to see Notorious BIG alive before BIG was fatally shot on March 9, 1997. Thomas became a restaurateur and opened up chains of restaurants in different areas in the south. He opened up Bar One in Miami and other chains of the bar in South Florida. He’s now been running restaurants, clubs, bars, lounges, and other venues for the last 35+ years.
Real Housewives of Atlanta
In the fall of 2010, Thomas began appearing with his then-girlfriend Cynthia Bailey on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The show followed the development of their relationship throughout the 3rd season, Peter’s club and restaurant called Uptown closing, the strain on their relationship due to Bailey’s family disapproving of Peter, and the season finale which featured their wedding captured by Bravo cameras at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. They spent much of the next year talking about their relationship on various talk shows, and celebrated their first wedding anniversary in a lavish ceremony that was featured on the fourth season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”.
In 2014, Thomas was named in a lawsuit claiming he owes $100,000 in unpaid rent and Thomas insists it was a misunderstanding. The couple moved in with Bailey’s daughter, Noelle, who also makes occasional appearances on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” He co-wrote the autobiography Carry-On Baggage: Our N Flight with Bailey in 2013. Personal Life. Peter and Cynthia departed The Real Housewives of Atlanta in September 2017 after season 13. In March 2019 Peter Thomas was arrested for allegedly writing counterfeit checks. He spent six days in jail.
Personal Life
Following a lengthy separation and living in different states, Cynthia and Peter’s divorce was finalized in 2017. Peter and Cynthia have two daughters named Porsche and Blaze. He also has a son from a previous marriage. Thomas began dating Sina Blina from the reality show “Love & Hip Hop” in 2017. Thomas was diagnosed with COVID 19 in August 2020.
