Pankaj Ramanbhai Patel (born 16 March 1953) is an Indian billionaire businessman, and the chairman of Zydus Lifesciences, the fifth largest pharmaceutical company in India. Pankaj Patel is a Gujarati. Patel holds Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy degrees from Gujarat University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Science and Law from the University of Mumbai. After graduating, he joined Cadila Healthcare, which was founded by his father in 1952 to make vitamins
