Equity Bank: Pesa Link. PesaLink is an interbank money transfer solution that enables you to receive funds from other banks straight into your Equity Bank Account in real time. Through PesaLink you can receive money into your bank account using a mobile phone number or Bank Account number.

PesaLink is currently available to all Equity Bank customers on Equitel Menu, My Money, Send Money option.

Benefits of PesaLink

  1. It is instant – Money reflects in your Bank Account in real time
  2. Pay for goods and services – Customers linked to PesaLink can pay for goods and services in any outlet displaying the EazzyPay sign. *EazzyPay accepts payments from both Equity Bank and non-Equity Bank customers registered on PesaLink.
  3. Enables cash transfers from Kshs10 to Kshs 999,999
  4. Enables transfer of foreign currencies
  5. Available 24 hours a day 7 days a week
  6. Allows you to receive money into your account using your phone number

Requirements:

  • You must register with PesaLink to receive money into your Equity Bank Account using your Equitel mobile number.
  • You can only register one mobile number to one Account Number. If you have multiple accounts with other banks, you can use other mobile numbers to register into those accounts.
  • One must accept the terms and conditions before using the service.

How to register on Pesalink with your Equitel Sim

  • Go to Equitel Sim Menu
  • Select My Money
  • Select My Account
  • Select PesaLink Registration
  • Select Register
  • Select Account to Register
  • Enter Alias
  • Confirm details & accept terms
  • Enter PIN & submit

You will receive a confirmation message.

How to receive money into your Equity Bank Account

  • The sender should be registered with PesaLink.
  • Ask the sender to simply send the funds to your Equitel Number or Equity Bank Account Number and the money will be deposited straight into your Bank Account.

How to send money to other banks using a phone number

  • Select My Money
  • Select Send Money
  • Select Account
  • Select To Others
  • Select PesaLink
  • Select To Phone
  • Enter Recipient Mobile
  • Enter Amount
  • Enter Reason for Payment
  • Confirm Details
  • Enter M-banking PIN
  • Success Confirmation Details

How to send money to other banks using a bank account number

  • Select My Money
  • Select Send Money
  • Select account
  • Select to others
  • Select PesaLink
  • Select Send to Account
  • Enter Bank Code *(Please refer to process for Bank code outlined below)
  • Enter account number
  • Enter amount
  • Enter Recipient names
  • Confirm details
  • Enter PIN & submit
  • Confirmation message

How to look up a Bank Code when sending money

  • Select My Money
  • Select Send Money
  • Select Account
  • Select To Others
  • Select PesaLink
  • Select Look up code
  • Enter first letter/Keyword for the bank
  • View the Bank code or scroll to next page.
