ZHENGZHOU, China — Yutong Bus (SHA: 600066), a leading global electric bus manufacturer, has introduced Link+, the international upgrade of its Internet of Vehicles (IoV) platform. Building on its earlier Vehicle+ system, Link+ integrates artificial intelligence and big data to provide fleets with a secure, intelligent, and efficient management solution, enhancing operational safety, energy savings, and lifecycle performance.
Intelligent Monitoring and Fleet Control
Link+ enables comprehensive real-time fleet oversight. The system monitors vehicle locations, operating conditions, and more than 100 key components, while its one-minute automated inspections proactively detect risks before they escalate. Fleet operators can also implement geo-fencing for zone-specific speed limits, remotely control air conditioning systems, and automatically schedule off-peak charging to minimize electricity costs.
By analyzing high energy consumption patterns, Link+ provides data-driven recommendations to improve vehicle usage and extend operational life.
AI-Driven Maintenance and Service
Yutong has embedded an AI assistant into the platform that diagnoses faults instantly and delivers step-by-step repair instructions. Operators gain access to over 480,000 genuine OEM parts with transparent online ordering and live tracking. Maintenance scheduling is streamlined with one-click booking and direct connections to certified engineers, ensuring minimal downtime.
Case Study: VOY Santiago in Chile
Chilean operator VOY Santiago SpA, which manages a fleet of 214 Yutong electric buses, has reported notable results from adopting Link+.
- Brake inspections that previously required four to five days now take only 10 minutes thanks to Link+’s real-time mapping tools.
- Energy management shifted from manual adjustments to standardized controls. By maintaining cabin temperatures at 22°C and fan speeds at 50%, VOY reduced daily energy consumption by 1,848 kWh.
- The adjustment translated into annual savings of 49.31 million Chilean pesos, based on Chile’s electricity rate of 127 pesos per kWh.
The improvements demonstrate how AI-based fleet intelligence can directly reduce operational costs while enhancing passenger comfort and compliance.
Compliance and Security Standards
Yutong emphasized that Link+ adheres to strict global data protection and cybersecurity standards. The company’s Information Security Management System is ISO27001 & 27701 certified, while its Vehicle Cyber Security Management System (CSMS) has received EU approval. Several Yutong bus models also meet the UN R155 certification for cybersecurity.
Global Strategy
Yutong said Link+ is designed to deliver sustained value across global markets, as transport operators face increasing pressure to optimize fleet utilization, cut energy costs, and transition to greener mobility solutions.
By combining lifecycle management, intelligent monitoring, and data-backed insights, Yutong Link+ positions itself as a competitive edge for public transport operators worldwide navigating the shift to digital, sustainable fleets.
